Kadmakudy boat ride

Kadamakudy – KSRTC boat ride                 

I have heard about this about in news paper, so was eager to ride in this, so on Sunday 12.7.15 reached Ernakulam boat jetty at 7.10 am and enquired about the boat to Varapuzha, informed that its at 7.30 am, so waited near the entry point, meanwhile the ticket checker was joking to the Ernakulam – Varapuzha crew that they are having a guest, ie me, because I was the only passenger in the boat, with 5 crews

Week days the boat will go upto Varapuzha, as it was a Sunday it was going only upto Kadamakudy, so I took the Rs.10 ticket to Kadamakudy.  From Highcourt jetty some more people came they were labourers going for work .

Along the way it was all green on the both sides even in the water because of African water weed in the water great views of the boats moored along the sides the water and we can see the islanders with their activities. There are so many jettys on the way but no one was there to board the boat some of the jettys are Thonthoni Thuruth,  Ponarimangalam, Panchayath jetty, Chittoor ferry, Pizhala , Kothad….

Reached Kadamakudy at 9 am the crew informed that the boat will be going to Chittoor ferry at 9.10 am and crews had their breakfast in the boat and the boat left at 9.10 and reached Chittoor ferry at 9.45 am
